Data sources

Product and ingredient data comes from USDA FoodData Central (primary, public domain) and Open Food Facts (fallback, ODbL — data © Open Food Facts contributors).

Every scan result shows which source it came from and when it was fetched. When neither source knows a product, we say "Unknown" — honestly.
