Be one of the first to scan safer.

Scallergy is in closed testing on Google Play. Getting in takes two quick steps — both with the same Google account your phone's Play Store uses. iPhone version coming soon

1

Join the tester group

Membership in this Google Group is what unlocks the beta for your account. Tap the button, then “Join group” — no posts, no emails, you can leave anytime.

Join the tester group

Opens Google Groups. Sign in with the account you use on your Android phone.

2

Become a tester & install

Open the opt-in page, tap “Become a tester” — then install Scallergy from Google Play. Updates arrive automatically, like any other app.

1 · Become a tester 2 · Get it on Google Play

If you just joined the group, give it a few minutes before opting in — the install button works once you're a tester.

3

Scan your groceries

Set your allergen profile once, then scan anything with a barcode — your pantry is a great start. Hit a product we don't know? Add it with two photos right from the app; that's exactly the kind of testing that helps most.

Seeing “App not available”? You're signed in with a different Google account than the one that joined the group. Re-open both links with the account your phone's Play Store uses — and give it a few minutes after joining the group.

Quick answers

Why do I have to join a group first?

Google Play requires closed-test apps to keep a defined tester list. The Google Group is that list — joining it is how Play knows you're allowed to install the beta. Nothing is posted to the group.

Which Google account should I use?

The one your Android phone's Play Store is signed into. Open the Play Store app → tap your avatar (top right) to check. Use that same account for both the group and the opt-in page.

Is the beta free? Will it stay free?

The beta is completely free — no card, no ads, no product placements. Scallergy is independent: we don't sell products and no brand can pay to look safer.

I have an iPhone — can I test?

Not yet — the beta is Android-only for now. The iOS version is coming soon; leave your email via the contact page and we'll ping you when it's ready.

What data do you collect?

Your account, allergen profile, and scan history — that's what makes the app work, and it's yours: delete your account anytime and everything it holds goes with it. Details in our privacy policy.

How accurate are the verdicts?

Verdicts are based on ingredient data from public food databases, and we show the source on every product. When data is thin we say “Unknown” honestly. Scallergy is assistive, not medical advice — always check the physical label.

Found a bug? A product we got wrong?

Email contact@scallergy.app — screenshots and barcodes are gold. Every report makes the verdicts safer for everyone. Thank you for testing! 💚
